Get my car back

One of my housemates had it towed. The lease states that you have to ticket a car AND THEN tow it, which didn’t happen. Nor did she try to call me. The towing company also did not contact me. The property manager told me TODAY that I have spot #5…whatever that is. There are no numbers on the spots. I was told by the girl I’m subletting from that I can “park wherever” and the lease never says that I have a specific spot, or that my lot is assigned out by apartment.

Good news is I get my car back, bad is that I have to pay $260 to do so. I’ll get it back though…there’s no way I’m done with this.

I walked through my parking lot this evening to get to a meeting, and I noticed my car was gone! I’ve called every single towing company in town and gotten a lot of sympathy, but no word on my car. I’m waiting for the police to show up so I can file my report now. I wrote up a list of everything in my car because I don’t think I’ll be able to remember once s/he gets here. GAH!!! My car!!!! Jerks! Even if they know how to drive stick, I’ll bet they’re killing my transmission as we speak!

I’m going to go clean and grumble now…

I just hope it gets there in time for my extension.

I have $800 in cash. $100 check from Grandma for Xmas. $170 in hourly paycheck. = $1070 total. Get another hourly Fri- $150ish, work Fri, Sat., Sun.- say I average $50/night on the low side…. that’s $1370 by Dec. 31st. Reposession was Dec 10th- 20 days to pay= by Dec. 30th (this Sunday)... Filing 10 day extention tomorrow… which means I must pay by January 9th?- Wednesday. I need $1503 total by then…so 1503-1370= $133!! And that’s if my boss pays my rent, as agreed… and not including other expenditures… New Years Eve…. but I must get my car back. Please send donations to… :)

From not having my car… I think it’s meant to be for me to loose it. And I want to make sure I remember these things when I get my car back. I’ve been riding the bus ( which is an amazing experience in itself), and therefore I have been wearing a backpack, as it’s more comfortable, and less scary than wearing my purse, walking around he streets at night. So, I’m finding that I am…
1. walking more – exercise, and taking life slower
2. not using plastic bags, as I put my buys in my backpack :)
3. appreciating how spoiled I am in general
4. observing little things about life
5. Not being so judgemental
6. not caring what others think of me as much
So, it’s actually been a good experience. Shockingly.

My car was reposessed Dec. 10th. I have 30 days to get it back, legally. Which means I have 15 days. And I have to file an extention for the other ten days, which means I have to do it in the next 5. Without a car. Shit… gotta get on this and plan it out… so I better track my progress…

So my car was sitting at my friend’s house for about 5 months with no insurance, no tags, I had to get the title redone in MY name, a dead battery, and it needed an oil change. So I got temporary tags, I’m working on the insurance part and then in a couple weeks I’m going to get my regular tags and registration. One of my best friends took me to get a new battery for it and her brother is going to give me an oil change. I LOVE having my car back, now if only I could afford the money for gas…

I jumped on my car, I hugged so much….yay! I got my car buddy back!

I really wish it was Friday, I want my car! I miss my little small Dodge Neon! :]...
