i did it!

My husband and I left Singapore about 4 years ago. We first moved to Hong Kong and after 2 years, moved to London. We’ve been in London for slightly more than a year now. I don’t know if this is really home. And home isn’t Singapore either. I miss my family and friends there, but it’s now just a place I was born in. Sometimes, it seems OK to be a nomad. But most times, I fancy putting some roots down to get on with life rather than think or worry about our next destination.

I am an Australian but have not lived in Australia for six years. Have lived in Dublin and London. I would love to live in Paris for a year and then probably somewhere in France/Benelux/Germany as my home. But – it is still 18,000 kilometres from my family who I miss greatly. I feel trapped between not being able to stay in Europe and not being able to go back to Aus. Must figure this one out.
