I was going strong on this goal until Sunday afternoon. A couple of times a year, I am not smart about lifting and pull the muscles in my lower back. On Sunday, I had to move our generator. It’s on wheels, but one side is lifted like a wheel barrow. I’d forgotten that there were 8 gallons (32 liters) of fuel in the top of it. ouch! I managed 6 days again this week and increased each set by 3 reps. Doing the exercises in the evening is not ideal but is working. Having a pad so that I can do the exercises in the living room and put something fun on the television helps. 20 months ago
I managed to complete the exercises six days this week. There is a difference in how my midsection feels; and it feels good. My problem is that the time being devoted to this is leading to slacking on other resistance exercises. Something else to figure out. 21 months ago
I managed to do the abdominal exercises 5 1/2 days this week. My body’s adjusted so that my abdomen doesn’t feel stiff anymore. By the end of the week it was possible to do an extra three reps with each set. It’s easier to do these at the gym in the morning than later in the day at home. 21 months ago
There is not much extra weight on my frame. Also, abdominal and core strengthening exercises have been part of my regular workout routine. Still, this seems to be an area that could use some work, and my workout needed something different. We have a book that has a 12 week program and I started it yesterday. Clearly, my previous workout was missing some areas, because I’ve discover some muscles that I’d obviously forgotten. ouch!21 months ago
