Actually it was Amazon UK... 2 years ago

I just bought a retired lady the DVD of Thoroughly Modern Millie. I hope she enjoys it!

Two books on their way to two unsuspecting peeps !!

    Similar 2 years ago

Not quite the same, but similar is the website http://www.childsplaycharity.org/ It’s a collection of amazon wishlists from Children’s Hospitals around the country (and some around the world). Worth checking out.

Needs to be done again 2 years ago

I did this in the summer. Not so much from someone’s wish list but someone on 43things who was having a rough time and needed a bit of encouragement. Think maybe after Xmas it’s time to do it again. I have no idea who it will be but I’m sure I can send some smiles in the form of a book :)

There was a person here at 43 Things that I bought an Amazon gift certificate for last year as a surprise to cheer her up and make her holidays special.

Then there was another person on here who needed things to make his movie, so I bought a few items for that too.

Rebecca in Houston is going to be getting Prescription for Nutritional Healing, which is a great book.

It feels good to focus on making someone else happy.

    Done (again) 3 years ago

I spent $12 dollars (that included shipping). It’s rare that such a small amount of money can make me feel a little better about the world.

    I love this goal!

drutt is back after 2 years; she's changed and so have her goals...

    Totally random 3 years ago

So I spent ages trying to find someone who’d recently updated their wish list and so, presumably, was likely to still live at the address they’d registered with Amazon and want the items on their wish list.

I eventually managed to find someone who’d only just been updating her wish list and has a birthday coming up. So, wishlist items are on their way!

It feels very weird and very random and very worth doing.
