tomandshe is trying to escape from life on 43things for half an hour
I will look at organising insurance this week for the holiday. As well as this I will give she the dates for the holidays so she can take them to work and organise time off (15/11/09).

WE booked our holiday earlier than expected to Malaysia and Cambodia last week end. I was surfing the net late at night when I came across a $63 from the Gold Coast to Kula Lumpur with Air Asia. We also go some good prices on other legs of the trip. So were off in July of 2010. We also picked up accomodation at a nice hotel in Kuala Lumpur for about $48 a night.
Things still to do include:
- Buy currency.
- Purchase insurance.
- Reconfirm our motels particularly in Malaysia.

After I wrote my list of things to do yesterday I realised that I need to check my vaccinations with my doctor before heading overseas. I will probably add other things to do as time goes on.

At the moment we are looking at doing a trip in early 2011 to Malaysia, Cambodia and if time allows, a few days in Singapore. Our back up time if prices are too dear during this period is either October 2010 or October 2011. It is always a good idea for these trips to write a list of things to do and mark these off as we go. So I will do this now.
- Book the trip.
- Book insurance (possibly with B secure).
- Book motels for each section of the journey (Red Piano Cambodia and Lloyd Inn Singapore). Included in this booking will be a guide and transport at Angkor Wat.
- Work out a day trip to Melacca.
- Get a new Passport for our Son if necessary (The old one will look outdated).
- Buy Currency, US Dollars,Cambodian Real (if available), Malaysian Ringitt and Singapore Dollars.
- Book tickets to the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari and check the opening times of the Science Museum and Snow Park in Singapore.
- Apply for a Visa to Cambodia.
I will add other things in future entries on this goal (24/10/09).

Today I noticed that the Australian Dollar is a lot stronger against the Malaysian Ringitt then when we visited there in April. As we are planning to return in 2009 I thought it might be useful to buy a few hundred Dollars worth for our holiday even thought it is a while away yet. If the strength of the dollar continues I will continue to buy some more in the future.

Last week we very briefly visited Malaysia on a day tour and had a good time. In a couple of years we will probably go to Kuala Lumpur for a few days on our way to China or Cmabodia. We are looking forward to this visit immensley.
