beware- they will break your heart. Even mermaids (who are notoriously good at attracting, but horribly bad at keeping humans) can’t hold on to a seahorse. I suppose in the end, despite having your heart broken and finding the experience leaves you jaded, self hating, and many other negative things, parts of you are also transformed for the better, and while you may or may not be a better person for it overall, and while life after this will be worse than life before it, because you now know what you are missing out on after losing this seahorse, the moment, the closeness, and the love you shared will be worth it. Just remember to truly make the best of it while you still have them. Oh, but don’t get the wrong idea! You’ll want a seahorse that can consent. In other words, I am not advising anyone to try to have sex with what most would consider a literal seahorse. That’s just sick and wrong- it’s also murder and rape.
