Learn to play the keyboard

We have an electronic Yamaha Keyboard which is a nice musical instrument. In the past few weeks I have sat down and progressed through some keyboarding lessons which have been a huge benefit.

Recently some friends made a suggestion for me to compose my own song or tune I should say. I am a huge believer in Music Therapy and using the keyboard along with my guitar to compose a few music pieces may be a huge benefit for not only myself but my family as well as you the people reading this post.

Music is great and can be so peaceful and relaxing to listen to.

Trying this bit-by-bit. I am improving, but not much. I need to spend more time practicing AND get a tutor.

last week i bought a cheap keyboard of the internet because i just really want another way to express myself other than verbally.. a week later i know wat an octave is and yes, i have indeed identified the meaning of the word “chord” ..i think im doing rather nicely….......

I do love the keyboards and piano…taking time to buy a good keyboard and practice is the challenge

I took the first step and started playing. Read in a ‘brain book’ this week that it takes 10 000 of practice to be good at something. Looks like I will be practicing for a few more moths before I can join the band.

I appreciate the fact that all good things comes with time, but I am impatient. I want to be able to feel the music right now.

I have been sidetracked on this goal. I still would like to learn how to play the keyboard.

I want to know what the best keyboard to obtain. I want to accompany myself while playing the bagpipes, with the drums capability of the keyboard – any ideas?
