go to the huge used book sale in Phoenix

from Phoenix. What a wonderful day of book buying! Already planning for next year… Feb 13-14, 2009.

But it was annoying with the huge of amount of dealers scanning in the ISBN codes there. At one table I was looking at a bunch of Swedish books and a dealer stood there scanning in codes. I turned and said, “Oh, you speak or read Swedish?” The stupid guy answered “I’m thinking of learning.” Yea right!

It was fun! I bought 3 bags and 2 boxes full of books. Alot of them cost… only 50 cents each. The first 2 hours were work- searching through the tables of books, getting through the crowds of people. After a 10-minute break (kind of like a half-time)on a bench outside, with a bottle of water and an energy bar, I had much more fun for the next 2 hours. So many wonderful books!

Once again it was as much fun as I expected! I bought 2 huge bags of books! And my son bought one huge bag for himself.
I’m still doing a happy dance!

I’ve made my plans to go to the big VNSA booksale. I’ve already booked a motel room in Phoenix for that weekend. It’s going to be great! I’m getting excited already, and there’s about 3 weeks until it’s time. Books, books, books!

The annual VNSA used book sale will be Feb. 11 and 12, 2006. I do plan on going one of those days. It’s one of my favorite annual events.
