Just celebrated our 5th year wedding anniversary a few days ago! I’m so amazed that it has already been half a decade… We celebrated a day early and enjoyed dinner at a very fancy restaurant with my parents who were visiting. My husband whispered the sweetest things to me during our dinner, and throughout our vacation last week, I fell in love with him all over again. He’s a special man and I am so glad that we still choose to spend our lives together ♥

We celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary and it was so wonderful! It’s amazing how I love him even more deeply with each passing moment. Only 6 more years until we accomplish this goal :D

This isn't a goal... 22 months ago

that I expect to accomplish in the very near future…but it is definately one that I would like to accomplish at some point. I have made a renewed committment to my husband in my heart and I would like very much to do also renew our vows.

This was always kinda a goal of mine... 23 months ago

as something sweet and romantic to do on some milestone anniversary or something…but now it has even more meaning to me. Now I simply want to get to a point of doing this as a way to truly re-affirm our choice of giving our lives to each other…as a new promise and committment to our forever.

at the 10 year mark! 2 years ago

This August my husband and I will make 3 years of marriage and I’m so excited!

When we hit our 10 year anniversary, I would like to renew our vows :D Being married for an entire decade seems so significant to me, and I think it should be honored, especially since this day and age marriages (in general) don’t seem to be lasting that long!

My parents did this and I remember how special it was for them. It was a celebration of their prolonged choice to be together, and the unique love that they share :D

We have almost got divorced last year, so renew our vows seemed like the most natural thing to do. we are planning to do it in September 2007.

This is one of those 'one of these days I'd like to things' 4 years ago

I’ve thought maybe this would be a good way to celebrate our 10th anniversary…we’ll be half way there in January. We got married in my pastor’s office with just my 2 children as witnesses…and I wouldn’t trade that special time for anything in the world…but I’d also like to have a more ‘public’ profession of our love for each other to share with some of our close family and friends. I feel so blessed to have him in my life and I want him to know that I would ‘marry him again’.

I think on the cover we’ll have a photo of me and Brian both at the age of 4 and then inside a photo of us now.

What did you spend for your wedding?

I am a shoestring budget, indie, thrift store, coupons, DIY type person lol.

My husband and I got married in 1999 at the courthouse so all we paid for was the marriage license and court fees when we got married by the judge. I can’t remember exactly but one was $35 and the other was $25, or something like that.

We are planning a big renewal vows ceremony next year, that will be our 7th year legally married and our 10th year together as a couple. We don’t plan to spend more than $5,000, and that’s including clothing, reception hall, flowers/plants, and the food and drinks for roughly 250 people. Our clothing budget is small, he’s getting a $99 tux and I’m getting a $99 dress (they run sales like this in our area all the time) and we’re revamping them to suit. Well I am at least, I’m adding cowrie shells to mine. I’m making my veil and head-piece and doing my own shoes, nice sandals I’m adding shells onto.

Any ideas, tips, etc?
