give someone a dozen red roses

You’d think it’d be a good idea, you really would, but no. Think about it, why would you give someone something that’s going to die in a week anyway?

Personally I’d take a dozen long-necks over a dozen long-stems any day.

Barb is getting the flowers.one dozen red ones .
I’ll get them when i get to AR and give them to her on arrival.
It will make my mr. pleased and she deserves them for putting up with her father for the week.

Just to practice I got my mother half-a-dozen peach-coloured roses, petals tipped with red.
