God and I aren’t in touch these days.
It’s just something I need to do.
No ifs ands or buts about it.

khafre happy and taking each day as it comes
How I did it: I made it a part of my routine and committed to attending at least twice a month. Instead of attending the church and faith I grew up knowing, I tried my wife's church. I enjoy the family experience of going to church sometimes more than the sermons but it gives us a chance to reflect each week. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I have been attending church for a few years with my husband; however, I really wanted to make a point to go continuously. Due to roadblocks that are beyond my control... mainly my son getting sick is the reason why I have been having difficulty making the church service 5 x in a row. Read how I did it…
Embem is unsure of what she wants, but she wants to be unsure.
How I did it: I felt out of place going to church.I would go, but to me... something wasn't there. I think I need to find a different religion.I was inspired by a friend of mine who was so happy that Jesus was in her life, but for me... It didn't speak. I know for some people, this goal will be very important, but for me... it didn't help. Read how I did it…

NixiePixie is a nixie, and a pixie.
Tried to go with my dad this past Sunday only to find out the 7 PM service was cancelled, so we had dinner together instead. But I did tell him I’d try his new church next Sunday.

Didn’t go this past weekend. Might be out of town this Sunday too. :(

I went with my mom on mother’s day. It was a nice service and it made me realize how I miss it and singing the hymnals. I think I’ll try to go again this Sunday and make it the beginning of a trend.

I’m still looking for a church I like- I’ve kind of decided on one, so I have to try to go regularly. And not stay up late the night before so I can get into the habit. I want to have a church “family” of other christians.

I made a promise to myself that I would start going to church regularly. I couldn’t go previously because I usually had to work on Sundays. Now that I’ve quit my job I can start going to a church regularly again.
The church I’m trying out at the moment is called The Vine. It’s geared towards students, but people from all walks of life attend; which I’m very excited about. At churches I went to before, there’s always been a predominance of well dressed, upper-class, elder, Caucasian couples, but going to The Vine is like walking into a mall. Casually dressed people of every color, ethnicity, and social-economical status is there, and I love it.

Yes!!! My family and I made it to 5 services in a row. I love attending service with my husband. I enjoy the time together and I love praying with him. I will continue attending this year and being part of the church community.

We have been 4x in a row now!!!! 5 in a row is when I will call this goal accomplished. I am not going to stop going. I just want to continue to go more often. We were almost going to stay home this past sunday because my son had the sniffles; however, we took him and finally decided to put him in the nursery since he seemed ok. Now he is sick. He was up a couple of times through the night:( I am not giving him Tylenol cold for children (only when he has a fever), I am rubbing vicks on his chest, and using the nasal spray and sucker for his runny nose. It is Monday so I hope he feels better for next Sunday. More importantly I hope he gets better before I go into labor :)

Ok… so we went to the contada, the following week, christmas eve, and actually we went for 1/2 of another service during christmas eve because we lit the advent candles; however, I won’t count that since we did not actually attend the whole service. So if we go this Sunday and Next… I have met my goal.

I went to the contada last week. It was a basicly a service that consisted of music. My goal is to accomplish this goal (go 5 times in a row). This goal will be met at the first of the year. We are planning on going tomorrow and then of course Christmas Eve then the sunday after and I want to go the first week of the year. I would like to go every Sunday but when my son is not feeling well I can’t take him to the nursery. I am also scheduled for a C-section Jan. 19th so obviously I will have a recovery time and I will have to wait until my daughter is old enough to be subjected to the nursery.
