How to sit in a hot spring
How I did it: I've done it a few times. The first I was a child. But since then I've gone to Ainsworth hot springs and Harrison hot springs.
There are a few natural hot springs in BC, but for the most part you need to pay someone for the honour of soaking. At Harrison, to stay in the nice hot spriings you need to stay at the hotel -- which is overpriced unless you stay during the week.
The Ainsworth Hot Springs are open to everyone and even have a natural cave you can go sit in.
Whether or not there is some crazy healing power in hot springs, they sure make you feel relaxed when you leave.
Lessons & tips: Be prepared to get comfortable afterwards
Take a shower first
Hot Springs take a lot out of you, don't plan a big night after.
Take breaks and drink lots of water
