This...this...might actually happen? 3 years ago

Sortof?

Details forthcoming, but it looks like I will be sharing my screenprinting toys with the other girls and boys. It’s the co-op part that is going to be a little tricky, what does that mean exactly? I guess I’m going to ‘rent’ out use, and use the money to buy emulsion for everyone to use, etc.

Sounds like co-op to me…further details forthcoming…

Last lead... 3 years ago

I have one last lead to follow up on for this idea tomorrow, meeting with a woman who heads up local artist studio spaces If things don’t pan out, I may officially give up on this one. Over the next 12-18 months there are alot of other large issues that will be needing my attention, that are a little higher on the value-scale.

I’m giving it one last go.

Hold on a minute, or four months 3 years ago

I went and looked at a space for possible co-op-ness, and while it looks like it would be adaptable to the needs of myslef and others, but wait a minute.

I really don’t have the money for this right now. I’ve made some purchases of equipment recently, plan on building others (see light table on my list of Things), but I really don’t have the monies to back this up while I try to get everybody else in line, set up dues, and do everything else.

This may have to wait until early next year.

Holy crap, a lead! 3 years ago

I emailed alot of artist studios listed in craigslist again, and somebody actually emailed me back!

I’m going to look at the space tomorrow morning and chat about trying to set up a co-op.

Here’s hoping.

first attempt: nope 3 years ago

Made a call about a basement space I found on craigslist, and she wasn’t interested in the sort of traffic we might inspire, though the price was amazing. Damn. I will screenprint, it seems it would be easier to not do it in my dining room, but come what may…
