How to finish my portfolio
It made me
relieved!
 "I finally buckled down, redesigned my website and updated the portfolio section with more recent and relevant work, trimmed out all the old crap."
How I did it: I decided to go with a really simple approach - a single long scrolling page with case studies from three recent gigs. Once I figured out that would be easier for visitors to read and for me to build, the rest came together pretty quickly! Lessons & tips: Try to really think about what few pieces of work people need to see to gauge not just how good you are but what exactly you do (for example, trying to figure out if they're looking at a web designer or web/print designer or etc). It's the same advice as making a good resume - don't just dump everything you've ever done!

How I did it: I received the portfolio requirements back in September, I think at the University Fair. To polish my skills, I took some art lessons with my friends where I introduced myself to paint. It wasn't a lesson, but an opportunity to draw/paint in peace and with some guidance. It didn't take long to come up with some ideas but they kept changing and changing. When I finish this portfolio, I graduate!! Although, I can’t just do it all in one go, there is five parts. I have done one, now starting the second! So getting there!

The due date is coming up!
I’ve finished my resume and 2 artworks.
I’m aiming to finish 2 more by the end of tomorrow.
Then by Tuesday, finish my written piece, and 2 other pieces that I’ve already started on.
I’m going to hand it in on Friday. Eep!
If I don’t finish it by Tuesday, I might have to cancel the b-day party my friends are throwing for me on Wednesday! D:

so what needs to be done?

need to go through both my 1st and 2nd year design stuff and draw everything on autocad then then colour and sort layout in photoshop and make sure everything is on A2 paper. Then gather all the assignments for the other classes. The essays can just be printed off again no bother but the other assignemnts need to go through the same process as the design stuff.
And finally get a hard copy and put everyhting on disc too.

The university I’m going to join (inshallah) is asking for a file includes my work from the past two years and some essays about the work I’ve done!
I finished most of the parts, but still it needs some organizing. I wish that I could finish it before the end of this February.
