I have played since I was 5, and I will turn 40 this year. I have spent countless hours of my life practicing and consider myself to be quite accomplished at piano. I have played for church services, weddings, funerals, parties, banquets, recitals, you name it. I am still playing on the Yamaha studio piano that I started with. I moved 3 months ago and my new house has a place for a baby grand. I think a piano would be a great birthday present!!!! Oprah, are you listening? Hee hee!

I very much want a grand piano. Not a concert grand, but not a baby grand, either. My parents have a 7 1/2 foot that I absolutely love. The touch is better than any piano I’ve ever played. It’s a Kawaii, but I’ve never found a Steinway I prefer. Actually, the only piano that’s come close was a Boesendorfer. I have a 1902 Ivers and Pond upright grand, but the soundboard has cracked, and, sadly, the A flat below middle C sounds as an A flat, an A flat-and-a-half, and a G. Ach, well . . . someday (soon, I hope), I’ll find my piano.
