move to washington state

Im living in Cali with my husby-to-be and my 1.5 year old girl. Husby is from Seattle area and we cant wait to move there. I’ve never been there but we are planning on honeymooning there in May of 2009. I just know I’m going to love it! People keep telling me that I’ll really miss the California weather but I love rainy days. And I want to go where its green…

Even though I’m in a tiny college town, it’s such a breath of fresh air (literally and metaphorically) compared to Orange County, CA. I may leave someday, but for now I’ll enjoy the quieter life.

I am finding myself in a situation where by the end of September I will be free to move (as in – the lease ends). I have heard too much good about Washington state to not want to go. I am a happy owner of a dog and two cats, my work is in the computer. So, what I really would love to find, is some secluded hut somewhere in the woods, but it needs to have an internet access ;)
All advise is most welcome!!

i should probably visit and figure out the whole school/work/apartment thing first, eh? instead of just landing there and figuring it out as i go?
hmm… keeping at the back of my mind for now.
i don’t know how in the world i’ll be able to afford all of the stuff i want to do there.

So I’m sidelining it for now. We ARE moving, just not to WA…

and have just not been able, for one reason or another, to get out of Houston. I still can’t get out, so this is goes in as a “sometime in the future” goal for me. I have family in Olympia, and my best friend lived in Seattle for 2 years and loved it. I hope I get to do this someday!!

I’ve never been there, but everything I’ve read, hear and saw makes it a place I’d like. I’m waiting to see if I’m proven wrong.
