Trolling is one of the most satisfying activities there is. I have pretended to be a dead man contacting people beyond the grave on a paranormal message board, I’ve made up ridiculous stories about a monster called the Larantula that people believed, I’ve become renknowned on a music board as the resident troll. It’s just hilarious to see people’s reactions to different actions.

I spent three solid years participating in a community of trolls where we hunted for people to harass, bait and fight with. Besides messing with the victims, I both trolled and got in flame wars with my fellows in the community. It was being in internet hell.
Any horrible thing that could ever have been said to me has been said, and likewise, I put some extreme intellectual effort into putting down people which will have me cringing for mercy on judgement day. During that time it was the only way I socialized or experienced any inter-personal stimulation, but I became so tired of the negative nonsense of it all that I slowly and painfully severed myself from that activity and found other things to do.
Recently I checked up on my old trolling buddies to see what they’re up to. They’re still the snarky dysfunctional pissed off people they always will be, still attacking arguing and doing their thing- nothing has changed, and it never will.
So don’t do it, DONT DO IT! There are other things to do with your life than getting attention through being evil or annoying. We’re all strange and unique and weird and being OK with that is a lot more rewarding than going around punishing others for displaying confidence or exercizing their right to express themselves.
