Enjoyed coffee from my French coffee press 1 year ago

I enjoyed drinking coffee from my French coffee press. Tastes significantly different from drip coffee machines. However, given that drip coffee machines are easier, I tended to drink via the latter.

ruthie for realsies.

I’ve broken 2 French presses so far – a big 8-cup Bodum that was promptly dropped a week or so after I received it as a gift. The next was a little 3-cupper I got at Ross for like $7 with a Pyrex glass which held up for several years unitl it recently met its demise as it was sitting innocently on the counter when something was dropped from the above cabinet, knocking both my press and my less-than-a-year-old spoon rest on the ground and chipping both.

I think I’m going to get this cutie next. I am hoping that the ceramic will maybe be a little more durable than glass (especially given my track record). It looks like it has less plastic than a lot of models (the lid is stainless too), which is nice and it comes with a mug, although I don’t really need one.

I sometimes use my French press for looseleaf or loose herbal tea and it works great for that – just be sure it is extra-clean, otherwise your Chamomile tea will taste like stale coffee – ick.

every penny

If that is your sort of thing 2 years ago

the coffee is great and there is no effort. Maybe I will resurrect mine now that I saw this goal.

love cawfee, love it 2 years ago

I have two now. One is thermal, so it keeps the cawfee warm for ages. AND I just got one of the french press/travel mugs… how freaking awesome is that idea!

I don't even drink coffee! 3 years ago

My husband and I bought one as a wedding gift to ourselves. He drinks coffee and loves it. He says it tastes better. I drink tea and really like it. I use it most to make formula for our little one!
