I’ve finished the Liveship Trilogy, finally. I did it a month ago or so. Gods, it bored me to death in the end (and to think I loved the Farseer Trilogy sooo much!). Now I need to read the Fool books, which, accoreding to my sister, are even slower, but at least I know I like the characters. I’d give up, really, but I want to check some of my theories…

I’ve finally made myself start the third book of the Liveship Trilogy… The Ship of Destiny (the 3rd book) is actually rather interesting, very interesting at times – but the second book was so boring that I got really fed up with Robin Hobb and abandoned the trilogy for many months. Now I’m kinda disappointed, I had somehow hoped all her books would be as good as the Farseer Trilogy… And now sis tells me that the third trilogy is MUCH worse than the second one.
We finally bought The Liveship Traders Trilogy, but sis took them to the seaside with her, so I won’t see the books until the beginning of September. Oh, dear.
I have finished Hobb’s Farseer trilogy some time ago. It’s clever. It’s emotional. It’s wonderfully written. Truth to tell, it’s probably one of the best books I’ve ever read. I don’t have money at the moment, but as soon as I do, I will buy the Liveship trilogy. Can’t wait.
Robin Hobb is one of my favorite authors – definitely, and I can say that although I’ve read only two and a half books. Her writing style is superb – ironical, warm, to the point; her characters are non-typical, well-developed, and I love them to pieces (esp. Chade… awww, Chade :))) ). And yet, I haven’t finished the third book yet. I stopped because of the exams at the uni and haven’tpicked up yet. It’s been more than a month. I don’t know what’s going on with me :(
