We finally started our indoor garden this week, in a seed starter box. We planted two kinds of tomatoes, peas, string beans, basil, cilantro, hot peppers, green onion, and lettuce. I have no idea how any of them will turn out, but I’ve never grown anything before, so I will be impressed if our little apartment garden yields anything edible.

The only thing that’s ever grown right in my yard is the mint and bamboo my boyfriend planted. I feel like i have a black thumb…. though I’ve never really tried more than once or twice. I’d love to eventually have a vegetable and herb garden. I’d really also like to grow the vegetables in an ecologically friendly way…. without pesticides and artificial fertilizers. Apparently you can grow your veggies in certain plots of certain types so that they maximize pest-resistance and help improve soil nutrient cycling
