I am doing some research on the topic. I have some savings, but it seems that all articles speak of angel investors as people who are already rich and just are doing others a favor. I want to know if someone has say between 20-100K if they could become an angel investor and what does one need to do, to get started and linked with people who need start-up capital?

I would like to become an angel investor with a group of others that have done some angel investing before.
Joined this investment organization in early 2004, and have been increasingly active in my membership, having participated in 4 investments brought to the group. Let’s see how they play out!
My first step towards becoming an angel investor begain 2002 with the start of Paper Street Teas. www.psteas.com. It’s an online tea company that sells gourmet loose leaf teas.
I have been banging around the idea of selling the company so that I could focus on other projects that will help me get closer to becoming an angel investor. I love the tea biz, but I think I just hit a wall creatively and bored with the company. ALthough it still excites me, I’d rather either sell it or let someone else run it.
