After an excellent start with rearranging the back verandah last week, I have continued to declutter by selling my old boxing bag to a co-worker and getting rid of it. Decluttering and making money!

This morning I worked on de-cluttering this area as it had become a dumping ground for all kinds of things that really live elsewhere or deserve to be binned. The space looks much more pleasing to the eye now. Must keep the clutter free mindset when inhabiting this space.
I have cleaned up the study. All the empty cardboard box Adam insists on keeping incase he needs to move his computer gear (and I guess one day soon he will need these!) are now sitting up in the roof/attic space of the house instead of hoarding space in the study. yah me.
this morning I cleaned up the junk on top of my dresser drawers, disposed of the old microwave and am attacking the study clutter next.
This afternoon I resolved to pack up the uncompleted jigsaw that that the cats had knocked over onto the floor of the spare room. I hadn’t done much on it to tell the truth and its a difficult one that will require much more attention than my current concentration levels can give it. I will come back to it when I am in a better place. In the mean time the mess is gone.
for such a small space I have no idea how it gets so cluttered and messed up but for now our bathroom vanity is now organised, clutter free and useful. That’s another one off my original list.
I am dutifully disposing of the empty coloured plastic pots when I have planted out the plants. The recycling bin is eating them for me. I am keeping only the black pots so I can give them to the WaterWatch group’s volunteer nursery. I don’t want to end up with useless big piles of them again.
I tackled this one earlier today. It wasn’t too bad as it was really just a tidy up as I had completely cleaned it out and organised it about 4 mths ago. Still nice to have a swept floor and shelves that I can find things on easily again. Took the empty chlorine containers back to the hardware shop to be recycled. So all in all its once again a usable, organised space.
1. I might need it one day
2. its too important to let go
3. i can’t get rid of it, its worth a lot of money
4. my house is too small
5. I don’t have the time
6. I don’t know how it got like this
7. Its not a problem … really
8. its too overwhelming
from the book “its all too much: an easy plan for living a richer life with less stuff” by Peter Walsh
excellent listing tool which I will use to help attain this goal.
