see Chicken Little

AMAAAAAZING. I was skeptical, because I heard some bad reviews, but it was so adorable and so funny that I would see it again (and again and again and again…). Def worth it.

To quote Homer J. Simpson “SWEETMERCIFULCRAP!” Does this movie SUCK!! I cannot even begin to express how bad this movie is. Everything about it is positively awful! The ending is kind of cute, but 75 minutes of horrible to get to five minutes of cute is not my idea of a good payoff.

Disney execs better crawl naked over hot coals with “We’re So Stupid!” tattooed on their foreheads while dragging mammoth bags of cash to Pixar and BEG them to come back.

It has a 34% on Rotten Tomatoes. Ouch. I’ll probably go see it anyway, but I’m kind of hesitant. It’s showing in Digital 3-D at Disney’s Pleasure Island at Disney World so maybe that will help.

Saw the Chicken Little preview again and I don’t really get why they’re showing the “dollar in the vending machine” scene while spouting Time magazine’s over-the-top praise of the movie. They show a scene that’s been rehashed a dozen times in countless movies while saying Richard Corliss found the film to be original. Uh huh.

But that orgasmic review from Time magazine (it’s a kid’s movie, Richard, CALM DOWN!!!) has knocked me off the fence. I will likely see it this weekend, maybe as an all-too-appropriate double feature with Jarhead (note the sarcasm).
