I really need to improve my grammar and punctation.I want to sound intelligent.

I listen to a grammar CD on my way to work.

Strunk and White baby ! Oh, Grammar Girl’s quick and Dirty Tips Audiobook is awesome too!

I want to improve my grammar :) Does anyone know any websites that can learn you grammar?

Found a great podcast: Grammar girl. I learned today that lay needs a direct object, you lay a book on a table whereas you lie on a couch. Also, lay is past tense: yesterday the cat lay in the puddle.

The following books are on their way to me from Amazon:

• Eats, Shoots and Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation.

• English Grammar for Dummies.

• English Grammar Workbook For Dummies.

I’m hoping that if I read and work through the books then they’ll show me where I’ve been going wrong all these years and that as a result my grammar will improve. Fingers crossed. :D

Bleah. A concerted effort at this is just not happening. There are other things I’m more interested in. Perhaps I’ll come back to it.

I need to work on my grammar skills in order to become a more confident writer.
