The more I understand, the more I find it difficult – but it is by His Grace that we even are capable to love unconditionally. By no self-will I plan to do this, but by his will I must depend.
I am so failing this in every possible way. I’ve been a mess for the past few months, the urge to quit my job and the lack of courage to do it has thrown me into depression.
I find myself without hope and alone. I know that I have friends who are trying to be there for me, and spiritualy – there are people who pray for me, but in this decision I am alone.
I remember from somewhere that the only way to battle the evil is not to fight for it’s destruction, but to fight for goodness to grow..because the presence of evil is really the absence of goodness..
How do I make this happen in my life?
And today is your birthday. I saw LOTR today and this quote reminded me of you:
“It is but a shadow and a thought that you love. I cannot give you what you seek.”
I hope you find peace. I hope I do too.
loving God is the most important thing here on earth. if we love God,everything will fall out into right place. Having God in our lives make our life meaningful and in right direction..we just need to love God and always have faith in HIM..
Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying,
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
Jesus said to him, ”’You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
“This is the first and great commandment.
“And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
“On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
That phrase “the Law and the Prophets” means all of the Old Testament! You might be vaguely familiar with the fact that the Old Testament is chalked full of commands—approximately 613 of them! (http://www.pressiechurch.org/Theol_2/All%20613%20laws.htm)
So what Jesus is saying here is that you can summarize ALL of those commands in the entire Old Testament with those 2 commands that He mentioned: Love God entirely and genuinely, and love people like yourself.
BUT REMEMBER, love is an action—NOT a thought, NOT an emotion, NOR a verbal statement. So this is an extremely challenging goal! But I’m gonna try my best because God also says that He is faithful to complete the work that He has started in me (Philippians 1:6) ever since I started to follow God a few years back…

i want to ask you a question….if someday you were on a boat in the sea but really deep and your boat sank and you wer about to drown and there is no one there to help you to whom will you return to and ask for help? sure your not going to send an sms to your friend…:P your going to ask the creator your going to ask him because you know that his the only one hearing you and for sure he aient going to leave you if yo return to him and ask for his help there is were you feel that you have to belive in the one and only god there is were you love him and return to him in everything there is how you feare him anywere you are cause you know he sees you at all time ….....think about that and youll find that love…...thats how i found it i was that drouning man in the deep sea and just wen i thought that was it i was going to die i woke up on the shore dont ask how all i did is ask the one and only god to help me and that was the result…..Love him He loves you anyway
To love justice, show mercy, and to walk humbly before my God. That is a rough paraphrase of Micah 6:8 which is actually this: ‘He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.’
This passage always resonates with me. It (to my thinking) connects directly with the new commandment to “love one another” given in the New Testament. Also it ties strongly to the summary of the Law also given at Matt. 22:38-40, Love the Lord with all your heart and with all thy soul and with all thy might, and love your neighbor as thyself. On these two commands hang all of the law and the prophets.
After thinking for some time on this, he quietly turned and said:
Oh, is that all?
(He spoke very softly, with hushed breath, and wonder.)The circustance that sorround you do not determine your place to God. His love is the same always.
I want to love him the same way also. I have been through tough times for the last two years and have actually not completely overcome them yet. Sometime i feel as if God has forgotten me but deep inside i know it’s a lie from the devil. I know at the right time he will come through for me. I don’t understand because suicidal thought have become common place for me. I feel parranoid and lost sometimes, yet deep within i know God is in control. I want to love Him consistently like i should, no matter the circumstances. I am desperate.
