My brother really wants to help me.
I have been playing viola for 4 years, and have gotten pretty good. I want to expand my musical ability and learn bass. My friend and her sister are both amazing bass players, they have already taught me 3 scales and the ‘happy birthday’ song, which I can now play pretty well.
tho i do rock some guitar hero, i think an actual instrument would be a nice step up! plus it sounds cool
Playing along to the Pixies, the Clash, etc. I’d like to become really good at it this year.
i started playing the violin and it spread to learning both the stand up bass and the cello. i’m so glad i did. it opened my range, increased my understanding of music, and allows me to continue practicing if i by any chance get bored of one instrument.
Jessicala c'est l'ete
I self-taught bass as well. My uncle used to work for Peavy, so I got all my electric instruments and amps for free! yay! I don’t play it as often because it is in my house on LI. but it’s there when I want it.
I’ve finally got my bass, and my band are finally on track. Bass is A LOT more cool than I thought. I’ve learnt tonnes of tunes. My bass is a Dean Edge. It Rocks!!
Only way to do it really. Practice as much as is sensible/possible. Really should learn to play my pretty new bass properly, (see photo) you can’t deny it’s prettyness. Well you can, but you would face the hideous consequences of disagreeing with me. :D
Should be easy to complete…
I can already play the intro to MissMurder from AFI
so when I can finish playing that song I will cross this off my list… I think I am already good at bass anywayz cause I have been learning for a month (on and off) and already in a band O.o
