I have an idea. I need some help on where to start.
When you take a cordless phone, you have a device that transmits and a device that receives within a 50-75 metre range or so.
I’d like to see GM/Ford whoever place a transmitter in their emergency vechicles (FireTruck/Ambulance/Police etc.) When that device is activated, it will send out a signal to vehicles in the area.

Those vehicles will have a receiver located between the stereo and the speakers. it will cut power to the speakers forcing the drivers to pay attention to the sounds around them. With the GM vehicles, you could use OnSTAR or something similar to also show on the GPS systems where the emergency vehicles are in your area.

If it could just save one minute for the drive when someone needs it, then it would be worth the work put into it.

I don’t want to create this to make a billion dollars, I want it to save someones life.
