buy a turntable

I ended up getting a SONY Stereo Turntable System PS-LX200H which I found for 25 $ through craigslist. The sound quality is pretty descent. Well worth it!

now all i need is speakers….... ^ . ^

It feels good to finally own a turntable. For so long, I’ve seen records that I wanted to own but refused to buy because I had nothing on which to play them. Now…well, I’m looking forward to music shopping. ;)

Just to hear the difference. There’s just something about a good analog recording that shines. It’s hard to pinpoint. You need really nice speakers.

If you ask me, mp3 was the worst thing to happen to music in a long time. Sure it’s fine for pop crap, but head to a good record store for anything worth listening to. Chances are all the good bands are releasing their albums in vinyl alongside CD.

Digital music is really not living up to its hype. It’s all about convenience but nothing about the quality of the sound. Analog music is natural and, while more difficult to do well, way more rewarding in the long run.
