erinI've always wanted to do this...

It’s possible that I have European ancestry because my maternal grandmother and uncle (on my mother’s side) looked a lot like Europeans. My mother (on the right) doesn’t look European, but she has brown hair and very light skin.

I’m going to trace my ancestors when I have enough money to have a sample of my DNA tested. I can’t wait to discover my ancestral origins.

I have found a very interesting Web site on genetic genealogy:

pkmcrI want to Trace My Ancestors

I think it’s important to understand who our ancestors are so that we can inderstand who we are. it’s also fascinating to discover more about the lives in general of our ancestors.

I have found a couple of sites which are really interesing and helpful including http://www.the-amateur-genealogist.com and http://www.all-our-family-trees.com.

I have also found a lot of helpful people at http://www.genmates.com which is a bit like MySpace but aimed at Family Historians. 6 years ago
