I bought a pull-up bar and now I can do quite a few pull-ups. I try and do a set of 15 of them by doing 5 then 4 then 3 then 2 then 1. Anyways all, good luck on the goal.
I cannot do this
...but my dad used to be a personal trainer and in times when ive randomly decided that i needed to learn to do pullups he would tell me to practice jumping up into pullup position and slowly lower myself down…or standing on something so that you just get to the top of a pullup and lower yourself down….as much as you can…slowly you get better.
and i know it uses less of your arms than you think…its mostly abs and back.

They have one of those assist machines at my gym that counterbalances your weight so that you can work your way up to an unassisted pull-up. I’d like to be able to do that. I haven’t even tried it yet…today I’ll find out what my starting point is. I’m going to check in on this every week and hopefully, someday, I’ll be able to do one on my own.

I think I can do this, I just have to find a bar somewhere to try it out. If I can do push ups, I can do pull ups right? Maybe that should be my goal… find a place to do my pull up! :)
I can not do a regular pull-up yet but a jumping pull-up, i can almost do an unassisted chin-up but i cheat a little by not starting with my arms all the way straight…has anyone that is a lady here gone from not being able to do a pull-up at all to doing pull-ups and if so aproximatley how long did it take??
Most people blame it on age but I’m going to be honest about it, I’M JUST PLAIN LAZY!!!
I would really like to get back to where I can do ten of them again. This is going to take alot of motivation. I wish I could buy a bottle, but it ain’t never that easy.
