I was in the line to enter the festival by 10:40 a.m., and once they started letting people in, I was in line to see Neko by 11:20 a.m. (only about twenty people back from the front). As this was my first time seeing Neko live (minus the New Pornographers, anyway), I was determined to be able to see, and since I’m pretty short, I couldn’t risk wandering around while hundreds of people got in before me. A few minutes later they started letting people into the stadium, and I snagged a spot right at the front against the railing. Success! Neko finally came on at about 1 p.m. and played an amazing set, which included four songs from the new album, one of which was a cover of Harry Nilsson’s “Alimony.” She blew me away!
