It wasn't fun anymore... 11 months ago

I danced for years…the works..ballet, tap, jazz, modern, pointe, and I even competed. I miss it. Alot.

When I was about 16, there was alot going on in my life and dance was slowly just faling out of it. I had spent so much time, effort and money to do this thing I love. Not too long ago I checked out a few dance companies around my town. Neither one of them called me back with a schedulle. So Im stuck.

One thing I miss most is flexibility. It feels so good to bend and shape any which way.

Im calling a new studio tomorrow. Wish me luck :)

    Years ago... 1 year ago

...I danced. I was like many little girls: my parents put me in dance classes (ballet, tap and jazz) and I loved it. As I got older, dancing became less and less of a priority and I eventually dropped my classes to pursue other interests.

At the time I quit – when I was 14 – I had just begun to train for pointe. I was told I had potential. But, despite potential, I lacked motivation. When it became too hard, I quit. That has always been a regret of mine. It’s been well over a decade since, and I know that I would practically be starting from scratch. I’m out of shape, the muscles I spent years toning and buiding have atrophied. And, I know that it will take a long time to get myself back into the position to be able to pointe. I have the motivation now…do I still have the potential?
