paint my bedroom

About six months ago I picked a color that I loved and started painting my room that color. Halfway through I decided I hated it and my room has been half and half even since. =(

Alas, my bedroom painting is complete. Time to clean up.

Best Day out of the four. Eight solid hours of work. I have completed all the sketches and designs yet I still have one more design to paint. My feet, neck, and back are in acute pain due to the physical labor. I could finish it off tonight if I can fight off the fatigue but it doesn’t look so bright. Once I finish painting the last design I have to outline the designs and then this goal will be complete. This goal should be complete tomorrow.

Update: Completed the painting of the last design and have begun outlining. Yes, this will definitely be completed tomorrow.

Good progress yesterday. I made two trips to Wal-mart. Picked up paint brushes, glitter glue, permanent markers and oil paints for my designs. I stayed up until 4:00am last night sketching and painting designs. I am still not finished. After lunch I will be at it again.

Another successful day today. I am a bit behind schedule but I am content with the progress. I spent my time today cleaning off my walls and applying primer and paint. It took some time to get carefully around the baseboard, ceiling, doors, and the electrical plugs. However, it was time well invested.

I did not get to sketching the designs this afternoon but will attack that task as soon as I wake.

Well, I made my first steps today. I removed every thing from the bedroom. I went to my local Home Depot this afternoon and purchased my desired color paint and tape for the lining of the bedroom. I spent about an hour and a half lining the tape around the bedroom.

Tomorrow, I will purchase the primer, roller, and paint dock. I plan on putting on the primer and the paint in the afternoon. Once that is dry, I will pencil in the planned designs over top the paint.

My bedroom wall is absolutely gastly. I hate the colour so its time to get the paint out. Its just the matter of money and time..

I don’t mind the white, I actually kind like it. Turns out I don’t care enough to spend money on paint, move around the furniture, tape off trim, etc…

Approximately one year after starting this project, I finished the ceiling last weekend. Still need to do the spot touch-ups to the walls. Then I might be able to call this DONE.

after a snafu or five, I finally got going on the painting and while it took me all friggin’ day to paint it, my room is done. I was literally scraping the bottom of the bucket there getting the last drops and just managed to give the whole room one coat. From what I can tell since I decided I like the colour I won’t need to go over it with another coat.

I had purchased this light, cream colour but when applied to the gold/mustard/babypoop already on the wall it turned a sort of taupe colour. I’m happy with the end result and now I’m just waiting for the paint to dry so I can scrub it off the carpet (don’t ask).

I went in to the room after dark and that is where I see the biggest result as it is so much lighter in there now. Yay.
