Okay, so this is going to sound a big egocentric, but turning heads has never been a problem for me. But it’s not because I was just so brilliant and dazzling that people had to turn their heads, it was usually because I was wearing something bizarre. (I spent the entirety of my teen years, right up through college, wearing Victorian and Medieval clothes.)
I keep thinking about the scene in Memoirs of a Geisha when Sayuri is learning to stop men in their tracks with a single glance. I want to be able to do that. The movie stars of the 50s always come to mind. They exuded confidence and brilliance. They were sassy and fabulous. I want that, that inescapable something that those women had.
It’s going to take allot of work. I’m not happy with my body and general state of things right now, so, of course, I’m not going exude confidence and glamour. But it’s mostly a mental game, and with a bit of work I think I can learn to love myself, and then I’ll be able to turn heads.

vanillatears is not having much luck stopping her procrastination
I’ve noticed that over the last year, and this year, I’m achieving this and am on my way of crossing it off the list. Although I’m now more confident with myself, my appearance, I still wonder about the attention I’m getting… is it negative or judgemental? Maybe I’m being paranoid, reading too much into the situation.
It could be because of a positive thing, after all :) I think it’s the confidence someone has that shines through, and the way they own it.

I have good friends and caring family who care and love me. This is awesome of course.
To be more specific I want to have men turn their heads. I wish guys would ask me out, compliment me on how I look I suppose.
Everyone tells me how funny I am or how caring I am. Don’t get me wrong I appreciate all good that’s in my life today. I want to be more than Miss Peace, Love and Caring.
I want guys or maybe one guy in particular to go Wow! I have got to get with her. I’m not a horn bag or desperate. I wish I could feel wanted by the opposite sex.

I have to do this, and believe that they’re looking at me because of something positive. Not because of something bad!

I used to turn a lot of heads when I lived in NYC, but that was probably because back then I had blonde hair, and wore all my earrings and I guess I stood out a bit.
I distinctly remember that I was walking down the subway platform somewhat near the edge, and there was a young woman in my way. Before I got to her, she very noticeably looked at me and then decided that it would be wise of her to take a few steps back from the edge where it was safer for her.
