How I did it: I bought a fitty pack at the art store of blank cards... Then i cut up some magazine/newspapers and collaged the shards onto the faces of the cards.THEN i cut a stencil of a snowflake and used spray gold leaf sizing onto the cards through it... Next, i let the sizing dry and then applied gold leaf with a soft brush and used a stencil brush to move around the balance of the leafing. Hung 'em, Wrote 'em and shipped em out! Read how I did it…

We used stamps and the kids signed their own names. We worked hard to send them out before Christmas, but very few arrived before the day. Nonetheless, people seemed to love the cards and enjoyed seeing the kids (7, 4, and 3) sign their own names. It was very time consuming, but a wonderful time together.
We’ll try it again, but we should probably start around November. Having the kids participate was the greatest benefit – bye to perfection and hurray to time together.
it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I don’t feel so guilty getting them done as I started to get a bunch from friends.
