How to swim with dolphins

 "It was absolutely AMAZING!"
How I did it: I was just swimming in the ocean with my friends and about 6 dolphins swam up with us. Yes wild and free, not confined in any tanks and with no supervision.

How I did it: I live in Florida and we have dolphins all in our waters, but it is against the law to touch or feed them. We went to the dolphin research center in the Florida keys where we swam with dolphins and did all kinda of things with them. We also paid to haveit all filmed so we can watch it whenever we want. How I did it: My Dad and I went to the Miami Seaquarium and did the Odesey and was well worth it! You are able to take a ride with a dolphin, kiss it, and learn about him. The groups are small and the staff was really helpful! I have a hearing aid and not able to wear it in the water, and the staff was really understanding. Yay! We’re looking at going to Sea World’s Discovery Cove next month to swim with dolphins. Ohhh! And then I can add them to my pet 25 animals list. :)

I just found out that entire pods like to cruise alongside the ferry we have here, and i’m sorta planning a trip out there for the day. But what do I have to do to get close, jump off the ferry?? Nah… and yes I know about their teeth.
I’m gonna try Seaworld I guess.

I’ve always wanted to swim with dolphins in the ocean. They were my favorite animal all throughout my elementary school career because of Stormie the Bottlenose Dolphin at the Mystic Aquarium in CT. While I haven’t quite reached that goal, I have been swimming with trained dolphins once while on vacation. It was a great experience, they’re stronger/more forceful than you’d think! You end up getting pushed around a bit, but the trained dolphins were very friendly. One had a strangely shaped tooth though which cut into one person’s foot.
If swimming with dolphins is something you’re interested in, I’d suggest swimming with tame ones first. You don’t always know what you’re in for with wild animals (but most stories I’ve heard are just of people and wild dolphins playing and having fun. I have never had the opportunity to do such.) If you’re ever on vacation in Florida or in tropical areas near the ocean, ask/research areas which may allow for swimming with dolphins. It’s definitely worth it.

I’m removing this to make room for the things I can focus on right now.
A google search revealed to me that you cannot swim with dolphins in Greece – if you’re lucky, you can watch them.
This is definitely a maybe/someday goal.

I want to go to the ocean this summer (and to go to Chico to visit my boyfriend) but i want to swim with dolphins! What do they feel like? If in the ocean, will they let you touch them?
