How to live in New York City
How I did it: My sister invited me to live with her to gain some clarity after my divorce. I lived with my sister and was receiving summer paychecks for my teacher contract.
Lessons & tips: Immerse yourself in the beautiful music that city makes! Rest assured that the people are innately good at heart.

I find New York city so interesting and exciting. I have been in the city once and loved it! Been in the state twice. Something about New York City fascinates me and I just hope to go to a university there!
im a art and design student living in london. next year i am able to go to university if i choose however, i still do not know what to study. all i do know, is my heart lies in New York. i want to travel there for a couple of months to see what life is like there… maybe get a part time/full time job there and see where it goes but, honestly, i dont know where to start my plans to go. i know i should be saving, but how much? should i rent or should i get a hotel/hostel?... to be honest, i need a friend with the same goals or who lives in new york.
so im in south africa, i cant get a job etc i need to move to NY! does any 1 have tips on how to go about it?

Thanks for listening.
ok so I’m a musician and a bit of a vagabond. I’m almost 22 and think that New York is going to be my next move. I graduated from highschool but haven’t gone to college. Is it even possible for me to live in or close to New York and to get a job that will support me without having a degree. New York seems like the type of place where a degree is nessary, is this true? what do most people that live in New York do for a living? Not just the business types but the average people.
bluesky5 is avoiding her studies.
After visiting Manhattan for 10 days in the Summer of 2008, I would love to live in NYC. I’ve never felt so at home as I did there.
I want to do this before I die.
