So, I’ve got a ‘99 Dodge Dakota 5.9 R/T that has been sitting with a dead transmission since Sept 06. Yep, it’s been that long. Wow. I need to fix it.
But, I’ve been riding my bicycle, which has forced me to lose weight and get in better shape.
I should just get rid of the stupid truck. But, I want to fix it first… but then I won’t want to get rid of it… Aaahhhhh!

the engine exploded (threw a rod) and i had to end up having a new engine placed in it. while that was going on my dad and i fixed the remaining things – console cover, door handles, etc.

I believe I’m donating it instead. 600 dollar truck that doesn’t work, why put in more effort now? Next please.

i went around to several junk yards today with the objective of finding the door handles and driver’s side locking mechanism i need for my truck. the ones i went to either didn’t have what i needed or where closed. i then decided to check ebay again and found exactly what i was needing – at least the door handles. i ordered it today.

i have a 1998 ford explorer in pretty good shape except for the fact that the front door lock doesn’t work and the rear door’s handles are broken. i want to fix these within the next three months. i’ve been saying this for a year.

Well, the latest problem I was not able to fix myself… for lack of time. So, my truck is in the shop. This round to the professionals. ;-)

first is new front brakes. Then the rear drivers tire. Get the front end fixed so its not so scary to drive. Later: Needs a valve adjustment, main seals and a clutch.
