Hot Toddie Schoonover has 30 days to run 200 miles
When I first adopted this goal I weighed X. Losing those five pounds would have put me at X-5, which is Y+15 where Y is the weight I want to be by New Year’s Day. Thanks to Halloween candy and being sick (plus a few days on prednisone) I actually got up to X+9.5. As of this morning I was back down to X+0.5. So I could mark this done since I’ve lost nine pounds. I’m not going to mark it done though because I know I can lose the 5.5 pounds I want to lose within the next eight days. Between my trainer’s two-a-day workouts, and my own extra workout on top, plus restricting my calories I know this will happen.

I couldn’t even keep off the weight I did lose, so I need to make some changes. I did get sick halfway through my plan and kind of abandoned it, but that’s no excuse. I now have four full weeks until I go home for Christmas, so I’ll try again for the next four weeks.

I also walked two miles. I was really sick all weekend, so I’m not living up to my exercise goals, but I need to wait until I’m feeling better for that. Hopefully on Wednesday I can run again.

Okay, after today there will be 10 days until Thanksgiving, so I’m going to be hard core until then. Starting tomorrow, Monday, I’m cutting out sugar, fast food, and fried food until Thanksgiving, with the exception of pizza on Thursday night and Saturday, which I’m going to take off from my plan. Saturday I’m going to a bridal shower, and I think I’ll do better the rest of the week if I have a day off to look forward to. In addition, I will work out a full hour each week day. I’m not sure what my weight will do, since I should get my period over the weekend, but my weight normally goes down right afterward, which will be the last few days before Thanksgiving. I don’t know if I’ll make it to 135, but I’m going to try!!!

Okay, yesterday was good. I danced for a workout, and taught my regular 3.5 hours of classes, including a dance class. I ate the following:

The juice was good, because it was all natural, no added sugar, and it contained about four servings of fruit! It was delicious too!
Today I’m passing off as a metabolism boosting day. :) I subbed and had a school lunch, so I had no idea of the calories. It was relatively healthy though, and then for dinner I had a sub with lots of veggies. I’ve been weighing in at 139, so I need a few really good days, with some hard core working out in order to get my weight back down. This is the end of the first of three weeks, so I need to regroup and prepare for week two. I plan on being very good tomorrow and Friday, because we may be driving to Phoenix on Saturday and getting food on the way. I also have to keep in mind that I’m about in the middle of my cycle, and I’m always heaviest right before my period. I hope to see 137 before it’s too late though!

Sunday was Fast Sunday, so we didn’t eat until after 6, so I didn’t count calories. We had a really great dinner of tacos and burritos and fruit. Yesterday I weighed in at 138.4, ran about two miles, and ate the following:
water

egg salad sandwich- 325

m&ms- 90

So the calorie count was nice and low, although I had too much juice and m&ms. I also taught an hour of dance and warmed up and stretched with them. Today I’ll try to do better, because I want to see 137! I planned out some rewards for myself for different weight benchmarks, and 137 is the first one. I know that if I let up on my plan I’ll just gain the weight right back, so now I need to push forward and keep going so that I can lose more! Tomorrow is the last day of the first week, so I’m a third of the way there, but now I need to step it up!

Yesterday I subbed and was busy all afternoon, so I only fit in a short strength workout and stretches. I didn’t weigh in. My food was: cereal fruit bar- 140

Today I weighed in at 138.8! I’m down two pounds in the first two days, so I have 2 and a half weeks left to lose three more!
Today, Saturday, I did not follow my plan! My husband wanted to go to the pizza buffet for lunch, and I couldn’t resist, but luckily we realized that it’s fast weekend, so I need to eat a lot today since I’m not eating anything for 24 hours! Hopefully it will even out. I’m realizing that a few days of being good with food makes a big difference, so if I can just keep it up, I should be able to reach my goals.
