How to improve my spanish"Practicing a little every day and getting a tutor made travel to Argentina a better experience."
How I did it: I reviewed old textbooks, read Spanish magazines, watched Spanish TV, did free online courses and flashcards at livemocha.com and had a reasonably-priced weekly online tutor from Argentina at edufire.com. My youngest son is taking Spanish in school so I am still using it a little bit, but I am marking this goal as done for now as I do not plan to do a lot of self-study with Spanish this coming year. Lessons & tips: Making it easy to study is key. I put links to the pages below on my homepage to make sure I visited them every day. You could also just bookmark them. Resources: There are a lot of great free and cheap online resources. Here are a few that I used the most.

Oops. I wasn’t. I bought a copy of Crónica de una muerte annunciado thinking I’d be able to handle it. Wrong.
Instead, I went to the library and picked up a copy of Grammatica descomplicada and have had much better luck.
but then i stopped using it and i really miss being able to speak it. it’s such a waste of all the time i spent memorising vocabulary and figuring out the grammar, too.
i still have plenty of materials to learn from, but i need to start from revisiting the basics to see just how much i still remember. i might not have enough time to focus on this during the week, but i think saturday morning will be perfect.
I know 2 people who speak fluently, my bf knows 2 more… we can all get together and even if I just listen while everyone else talks, it REALLY really helps. So far I’ve hung out with each group once, I’d like to do more because it’s social, it’s fun, and it improves my Spanish! Hooray!
...but I’ve always tried really hard with both French and Spanish. I even spent a summef in Mex City g
Mi profesor de español está muy bueno! Está divertido. Es venesolano. Èl habla mucho español para nosotros. Creo que voy a apprender mucho. Me gusta mucho español. Me parece español no está complejo pero ahora tengo que estudiar. He leído el períodico de Internet. Se llama El País. Me parece el está bueno. Me parece tengo que escribir más español. A mí no sé bastante.

So back in my Jr. year of high school, I took Spanish 1 + 2. My Spanish teacher wasn’t the most helpful teacher, and my Spanish is mediocre.
Its been about a year since then, and I still practice speaking Spanish sometimes. I’ll have to take it again in college, so this is a goal I should work on so I don’t have to take unnecessary lower-level Spanish classes.
I have workbooks, flash cards, software… Spanish-speaking friends…
It’s a matter of practice now! I want to be able to post my next entries for this goal en espanol! :o)
This is highly embarrassing, I live in California and I can barley communicate in Spanish. I want to learn slang too!
atinygoat loves lazy Saturdays.
In addition to my linguistics courses, I have enrolled in Spanish 101 for this semester.
I took the equivalent in high school, and while the thought of CLEP’ng out of it was a possibility, I decided to just do it because I really do want to improve my Spanish.
Instead of taking this at my Uni and paying Uni prices, I am taking it at the local city school/community college, which happens to be three whole blocks from the cave wherein I live. Score!
Lucy ♥ is enjoying having a week off :)
FINALLY, i’ve started studying it again :) I just need to be strict with myself and keep doing it!

“I have 4 Spanish learning programs including Rosetta Stone which I find to be slow. Should I stick to 1 program? I also see some video podcasts on itunes I want to try.”
