purplefibermom feels hung-over even though I didn't drink anything last night

oh my! 9 months ago

When our beloved corgi died two summers ago, I was not ready to get another dog. “Our schedules are so hectic!”, I protested. This little sweetheart appeared to us out of this weekend’s snowstorm. How can I say no?

i took my lygis from a shelter. i think i made him happy and he keeps me company. i don’t imagine my life without him no more. took him to our company country party. fireworks scared him bad, thought he ran away. but finally he came back. those few minutes were really stressfull. he is like a part of me at this stage, i even know what he thinks at times. i love my lygis absolutely!

My mother would never let me get a dog. I had tried for years and years. Untill one day this familly we know who abuses all of their animals tried to get me to take their dog because it “bit their son”.

A bit of previous story to this. They had a ferret that they used to swing around on a leash, his teeth were filed down. She would wash him everyday because “he stunk” and when i asked to take him away because he was “attacking” the son.(The son is awfull with animals and he’s not that young. he will tug at them hit them, hurt them). anyways they said i could have him and when i went to get him they told me to get out and that i couldnt have him. then they killed him.

So when they asked if i would take the dog i begged and pleaded with my mother. It was almost christmas so i said(her big thing was the dog accidentally getting out and getting pregnant) that my christmas gift would be to get her spayed. Anyways my mom agreed and we took her home. when i first got her she was afraid of everything. and she was still a baby. She refused to go down to a basement(She was pushed down the basement). she refused to walk on leash(They used to drag her around because she wouldnt walk). and was petrified of cars and other loud noises.

With alot of work we managed to properly socialise her and get rid of most of her problems. She loves other animals and other people. though she tends not to trust men. I can put my hands in her mouth and play with her eats and open her mouth and all those things. as rough as i want and she will never bite me.(of course im never rough but when were playing or anything of the sort she never accidentally hurts me. She’s always very good and gentle. I love her to bits.

She is the love of my life. my mothers life and even her boyfriend. We take her everywhere with us. She loves driving in the car. and she is a big dog lol. Im actually away at the moment and my mom kept her. Im moving back soon and i cant wait to see her. I miss her so much

One of the best things I ever did was go to the animal shelter and pick out my 8 week old shepard/chow mix puppy. Jack’s an excellent member of the family!
