I have three types of literature:
try to find more linking 2 and 3.
using Furl to catalogue references
Specific:
write 300 words on each subtype, 1000 total.
Timed:
must be done by half way through half term.

yes but….
Realistic
Depends if other things take priority. It may be more important to push on with writing encouragment and explanations for the wiki community at that time.
Measurable
Yes, when it’s done there’ll be a link to the lit review from my coursework site.
Hey! that’s not SMART it’s STRARM

As an action enquirer examine and describe how action enquiry/research fits into the wider research family
So here I am to explain and decribe how AE fits into research but I am to do it as an action enquirer. I wonder if they mean this quite the way it sounds. It sounds as if one should use the techniques of AE to ‘examine and describe’ AE’s place in the wider picture of research. So a way forward might be to reflect on what aspects of AE differentiate it from other forms of research, and then to double loop and question its underlying assumptions. Hard to do that in what is unlikely to be more than 400 words Might make it more interesting though :-)
Identify some different types of action enquiry/research and explain the differences .
Ok this has to be some sort of diagram or mind map – Eve’s led the way here with her one. Do I use Omnigrafflle, Appleworks or do one by hand I wonder? How did Eve get the tool to allow her to include diagrams – save as html perhaps? I might get away with allowing 200 words for this.
Explain the ethical considerations associated with your proposed action enquiry.
Hmm,Eve is right about this one. It needs to be specific to my research but I wonder if at this stage it can be some quite general and fuzzy remarks rather than detailed and in depth. Refer to the ethics hotseat, explain why I’m going for ‘opt out’ not ‘opt in’ letters to parents, importance of giving participants chance to see what words and attitudes I attribute to them.
Approx Total 700 words
Start by considering different approaches to research (scientific, sociological, qualatative, quantitative, etc). How does AE differ?
Use this as basis for looking at an overall view of AR followed by examining acouple of possible approaches for this one. Justify choice.
Look at lit on ethics and show how I considered it.
Look again at lit on classroom displays and show why my AE has value, to me and poss wider.
