I work on my different strokes everytime I go swimming. Usually I will do 2 laps of each stoke that I know of in a row then just start over if I feel up to it. There are 5 or 6 different ones I try to use and practice on.
Crawl stroke is my fastest but odds are that is true for most. :)
Of course I am just doing it for fun. If you are going for some goal then keep it up you will get there. :)
I need to try and find time to go twice a week, if I really want to improve my swimming. So far I am committed to going swimming once a week, on a Sunday evening. Where can I find more time?
I think I need to work on my stroke first, and also on distance/speed. I need to get a baseline at my next swim, and take it from there.
