Trying to Get Some Readers at http://dressbetter.blogspot.com 14 months ago

In an attempt to gain readers for my blog I have joined Plurk, Twitter, and MySpace. I joined eHow, too. Having trouble keeping up with these websites and remembering the passwords for them. Still no readers, but it takes time.

Attract Readers To My Blog, dressbetter.blogspot.com 14 months ago

I start a blog recently, http://dressbetter.blogspot.com, and have had a lot of fun so far writing articles, tweaking the colors and layout, etc. I would love to get some comments on my site, maybe a few loyal readers. That would be very encouraging!

Less traffic, please! 2 years ago

I’ve found that I’m much happier with my site now that I have less traffic than ever. But, I suppose taking a year long hiatus will do that.

In any case, I imagine it’s just part of growing up. I don’t feel that I need all of the attention I once received (and for things I shouldn’t have received attention for). And now I’m much more at ease and less pressured about my site(s).

Someone said that building a website is like erecting a billboard in your basement.

I know what they mean and I’m determined to see how many people can fit into my basement to see it – or maybe I need to put up a webcam from my basement to broadcast the billboard to the world – but that’s sort of like those Russian nestling dolls since a webcam would require a website thus I’d have two billboards in my already crowded basement.

Anyway, I’m not giving up. I’m learning about SEO, marketing, and other things and I’m continuing to write – which was the real impetus for the website creation.
