knit a scarf for my friend

My friend had asked me to knit her a scarf when i was free and she had forgotten about it. Or at least she thought i wouldn’t be doing it so soon. So i kept it a secret and sent her the scarf when she was least expecting it. Oh how excited she was to receive it! It was so genuine and i felt very happy i did that for her :)

I picked up my knitting again the other day and found I had no trouble at all with the pearl stitch! Maybe it’s just one of those things where I needed to step back for a little and then try again. So now I can work on finishing the body of my purse and then I’ll be done with that project and hopefully feel confident enough with my knitting ability to start on the scarf. I’d like to have it done before the end of winter. haha!

I’m just learning to knit. So far I’ve knitted a strap. haha! it’s not just a strap though, it’s a strap for a purse. I’ve got the knit stitch down, now I’m practicing my pearl stitch before I finish up my first knitting project. The next thing I really want to do is make a scarf for my friend. I think there’s something really sweet about making someone a gift.
