bowl a 300 game

I want to bowl a perfect game. It would mean alot to me and I would feel so good and I would be able to say that i’ve bowled a 300 game before i died. Last night at my league, i Got over 1 major hump in the road, I bowled my first turkey, and I had only been bowling for a couple months, Im not that good, avg 110, but I felt so good after my turkey. 3 years ago

Maybe learning a few trickshots would be just as satisfying? How cool would it be to nail the Flying Eagle?!? Although when would I get the opportunity to practice?

Hmm, on second thought… this is risky objective in that it could require a great deal of time and money – like waiting to be dealt a flush or trying to befriend an exotic dancer. 3 years ago

This past weekend I finally bowled a 300. The best part was it was in the NC State tournament. I had a 790 series 300, 258, 232. 3 years ago

Tonight I bowled a 720 series, bowling a 245, 241, 234. The irony being that it was “sweeps” night where with a $15 entry fee the high handicap series takes home the pot. I wasn’t feeling very lucky so I didn’t enter, but would have won. Also noteworthy is that this 720 was on the same 2 lanes that my previous best 719 was on. 3 years ago

Another life goal. I enjoy rolling a heavy ball at 10 stationary pins and watching them explode. Maybe one day I can get good enough to score a perfect 300. 4 years ago

The best that I have been able to get is a 296 about 5 years ago. This season I almost made it again but finnished with a 289. 4 years ago

last night in my second game i bowled the perfect 300. it was the first at the bowling alley in gaffney sc. i was got 500 dollars, they ordered one of those rings, and free games for life. i was excited when friday i posted a 298 i knew it could done that was my 4th 298 game. i average in the 240-250 range. i am 20 years old and just statred to bowl regulary the past 7 months. 4 years ago

i started bowling when the league started up after i moved to belgium from the states after PCSing. at the time i averaged a sad 85 or so, i didnt really bowl that often, but i geuss because i started when i was around 13 it was easier for me to get good at it quick. some of my friends from school had tought me how to curve the ball, then eventually i started usin 3 fingers, and got my own ball, roto grip neptune. now a year and about 4 months later ive rolled my first 300 game =D. it happend december 1st 2007, so yea pretty recent. like most people have said it is pretty intense for just bowling lol, but it sure does feel good. it will b even better when i get my ring for it haha. but yea, this past saturday, one before dec 1st, i rolled my first 700 series also. i average right now about 215, 220, i think, im not completly sure. most times i average around 210 but ive been doin alittle better since we started league this year, and we have only bowled about 4 times so that too lol. good luck to all u who are still lookin for ur 300, and just focus on ur strike line =D 4 years ago

My friends and I started bowling regularly over two years ago. A couple guys took a class, the rest of us just sort of fell in and we made a regular night of it. Of our original group, some moved, some died, some are too busy with work or marriage. Two or three of us still make it out every week or so. Usually bowl three or four games a night. My average has jumped from just around 80 to a solid 140, and lately it has been pushing up around 160. My highest game ever was a 233, a few weeks ago, I bowled four bagger, open, four bagger, spare, open. I keep kicking myself about that middle open frame. Just got to keep working at it. Perhaps a more lofty goal would be an average of better than 200, but everyone wants 12 in a row. I am 20 years old and I have been bowling for 18 years. I have been trying to bowl a 300 for ever!! My average it about 200 and finally on October 13, 2006 I finally bowled a 300!!1 It was the best feeling ever! I got my ring and I have not taken it off since!! I love wearing it people always ask whats that ring for and then I get to tell them about my 300….I love it!! So if you’ve been bowling for a long time and you havn’t bowled a 300 yet keep trying it will happen!! 4 years ago

I bowled my first 300 game Thursday June 21st 2007. I never in a million years thought I would do it. The feeling is unreal. It’s a few days later and I am still on cloud 9. This is not an easy thing to do. Very few people have done this. ESPECIALLY WOMEN. I’m the first woman to do it in that alley. Very exciting. 4 years ago

I’ve been on a bit of a good streak lately. I’ve bowled a 242 and a 265. The 265 was 8 in a row. oh well, I’m just happy to keep some above 200. 4 years ago

I’ve been bowling for ten years and only have a 165 average. Occasionally i get lucky and bowl over 200. I know practice makes perfect, just need to practice more. 5 years ago

Last Wednesday I bowled my 1st 300. It is unbelievable what your body does to you. I’m in a 30 point league where you compete against another bowler on the other team. We both have 0 handicap. You won’t believe it but he bowled his best game ever also, a 299. Next goal, 800 series. 5 years ago

What a rush! Most people probably wouldn’t think you could get an adrenaline rush from bowling, but it’s friggin’ difficult to bowl 12 strikes in a row! 5 years ago

It was a while ago now but i’ll finally admit it in print…i choked! I’d hit a perfect game in league play a few weeks earlier but on the night in question I threw XXX8/XXXXXXXX and immediately after i threw XXXXXXXXXX7/ which left me with 18 in a row but no maximum. It’s a pity the first game was a 191 because i could have had my first 800 series that night, instead of finishing with a 756 (which, by the way, i am not disappointed at in the slightest as it’s more then i ever thought i would possibly achieve). Still, i’m not retiring until I hit a 900 series or I die, and even then i don’t think i’d have a good enough reason to give up the sport that i love. 5 years ago

well i finally got a 300, but it was in open, its ok it still feels good to bowl it, and i haven ever done something in league before i did it in open, so hopefully when leagues start up next week i can get a sanctioned one 5 years ago

The closest i’ve come so far was last week on Tuesday league with a xxx9/6/xx8/xxxx – 243. Not bad considering 6 months ago I was averaging about 120, and I bowl straight with an alley ball! Hopefully 300 soon! 5 years ago

I shot mine a year and a half ago, after waiting 16 years to get it and there is really nothing like it. I was sick with the flu on cold medicine and my team mate who already had two perfect games in his life just tried to keep me upbeat. I really didn’t even know I was shooting it till I hit the first one in the tenth and everyone went nuts thats when I got nervous I walked off the lanes gave high fives, took a drink, and slowly made my way up for the 11th ball, when I hit it I did the same thing as the first in the tenth, walked off gave high fives, took a drink, and slowly made my way up for the final throw, what this did was keep everyone around me bowling so that the presure of everyone standing around waiting wasn’t there and it worked. As soon as the last pins fell, I say last pins cause the last ball was five boards off the mark and missed the pocket, I threw my hat down and just weeped before everyone came to congradulate me. The best thing about it was that my brother had bowled his first 800 series just eight days before and I was there to congradulate him, as he was there to congradulate me are names went into the kc star the same day. 5 years ago
