I had about a period of 6 months were i was so destined to travel to Tanzania with Water Aid charity group to see another country in the eyes of a foreign helper. But this never came to be.
Still, it is in my list of places to visit.

2 weeks until departure. Because of the nature of the program, I’ve been spending time shopping (ugh) for a hiking backpack, tent, and other related campy things. I’ve also been learning a bit of Swahili via the Pimsleur CDs and getting rabies vaccinations.
I’m going to be studying abroad in Tanzania spring 2006. :) I’m really really excited! I’m also somewhat afraid of dying and missing my girlfriend, but the former is unlikely and the latter I have dealt with in the past. :) I’ll let you know how it was when I get back!
For those of you who are interested, I’m doing this program: http://sit.edu/studyabroad/africa/tanzwild.html
