its just not gunna happen. i’ve lost all motivation. remember that part in spider man, when peter parker’s aunt walks into his room and is like oh its so messy cuz he’s a genius!... thats how i feel on this matter.
I have a coffee table with a shelf underneath it. I bought six wicker baskets and I keep my magazines there. I keep mostly gardening magazines and keep them in monthly order, so I can go through them month by month (old copies) for ideas on what to do in the yard.
I’m in the process of forcing myself to get rid of old National Geographics and travel magazines. I figure that’s what the internet is for. Don’t be an “intellectual hoarder” – something I heard the other day, and which inspired me to do this.
And I was able to keep most of them! They are sorted into binders, cooking magazines in the kitchen and the others on a shelf below my crafting table. I feel so happy!
I’ve been able to get rid of 15 magazines from my collections by clipping patterns and pictures and adding recipes to my computer files. And before anyone wonders, I have a filing cabinet for my clippings so that they don’t get out of control.
I’ve picked up some binders for the rest of my magazines, to keep them together by subject matter. Now I just have to find time to get them into the binders, and I’ll have this goal beaten!
I collect Christmas magazines, craft magazines, and cooking magazines and have approximately 90 total. I really need to see about weeding some of them out, and I definitely need to find someplace to keep them besides stacked on my kitchen counter and on my nightstand.
