have more dogs

Only have the family dog, who isn’t mine but may be dumped on me when i’m in a better position to look after the beast. I figuire two canines of my own will count as completing this goal.

For owning anymore dogs. Don’t get me wrong, i love dogs and i believe the world is a better place with them in it. I’ve had dogs since i was 10 years old, starting with:

Benji (Silky Terrier) – dad gave him away after he bit too many people
Mimi (Silky Terrier) – died
Lucky (CKCS – i still have him, he’s now 19 years old, yes 19!)
Royce(Silky puppy) – died from poor immunity
Niu Niu (Silky cross) – still have her! 12 years old now.
Gracie (Rhodesian Ridgeback) – rehomed her as she was too big for the apartment at that time
Lady (English Cocker Spaniel) – still around too! 8 years old this year.
Phoebe (Weimaraner) – 3 years old, the latest addition and possibly the last one.

It’s difficult and guilt wrenching to travel and or leave them. And as they grow older, they need much more specific care: it’s like taking care of grandad that has incontinence and alzhiemers, you know. You do it cuz you love them, but it does take a toll some days.

I already have 2 furry babies- one boy, one girl. Bailey (girl) is going to be 12 this year- I’ve had her since before I started high school! I need to accept the fact that she isn’t getting any younger, even though she can run and play with the 2yr old ‘til the cows come home!

And she is cute. But a family dog. Just begging my mom and dad for a puppy for my birthday. You don’t know how bad I’ve begged. SERIOUSLY!

I want to own a big house ar a farm and 10 or more dogs)

I can’t now in the area I live in, but I want 2 big dogs – a Saluki and a Greyhound.
