Read Harry Potter in French

My French has come on a lot (but with vocab limited to conversations in the past tense about owls and mysterious happenings).

Just finished Chapter 4, which only took me 2 sittings.

.. to a paragraph a day. Still seems like a ridiculously slow pace to read a book, but it is proving a really nice way to learn a little French each day.

Maybe the next book I’ll be able to just sit down and read it :)

I’ll read at least a sentence a day at first, which seems stupidly small, but it should at least be do-able. I’m going to try to supplement that by (re-)learning my verb tables and basic words.

.. and I’m about 3 pages in :) Probably the wrong way to do it – I should improve my French first and start with Mr Men books or something – but I enjoy sitting there with a dictionary in the evening trying to puzzle out what’s being said.

Thinking of maybe aiming for a sentence a day.
